Welcome to Les Antiquaires

Grand-Rue 35, 1204 Genève, Switzerland

General Info

Tucked along Grand-Rue 35, 1204 Genève, Switzerland, Les Antiquaires feels like the kind of Swiss restaurant you stumble upon during an evening walk through the old streets of Geneva and instantly want to step inside. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the focus is clearly on good food, good drinks, and an enjoyable dinner experience. From the moment you sit down, the table service makes everything feel easy and unhurried, which fits perfectly with the comforting style of Swiss dining.

One of the first things that stands out when browsing the menu is the emphasis on classic Swiss flavors. The Fondue Moitié-moitié is a highlight here and easily one of the most memorable dishes served at Les Antiquaires. Rich, warm, and wonderfully creamy, it captures the essence of traditional Swiss cuisine. Equally interesting is the Fondue à la Tomato, which adds a slightly tangy twist to the classic fondue experience. Sharing a pot of fondue during dinner feels natural in this cozy setting, especially when paired with a glass of wine or a cold beer from the drink selection.

Another favorite on the menu is the Planche de Charcuteries et Fromages. This generous board brings together a selection of cured meats and cheeses that showcase the heart of Swiss culinary tradition. It’s perfect for sharing at the table while enjoying a relaxed evening with friends. The presentation is simple yet inviting, and it complements the restaurant’s overall vibe-unpretentious but thoughtfully prepared.

Of course, no visit feels complete without trying the dessert that many diners talk about in their reviews. The Double Crème et Meringue Une Tuerie is exactly the kind of sweet finish that makes a dinner memorable. Light meringue paired with rich cream creates a contrast that’s indulgent without being overly heavy, making it an ideal way to end the meal.

Les Antiquaires keeps things straightforward when it comes to service. Dinner is the main focus, and the drink options-particularly beer and wine-pair naturally with the hearty Swiss dishes on the menu. Paying is simple as well, with debit cards accepted alongside traditional payment methods.

What makes this Geneva location stand out isn’t just the food, but the overall experience. The friendly table service, the comforting menu, and the inviting atmosphere come together in a way that feels genuine. Les Antiquaires delivers the kind of dining experience that encourages you to slow down, share a meal, and truly enjoy the flavors of a classic Swiss restaurant.

What customers say?

“ A fantastic restaurant with great service and amazing food. There were 5 of us in our party and we all loved our meal. We had steak, fish, fondu and the cordon blue (delicious). When we are next in Geneva, we will definitel be back. ”

“ I am spending a day in Geneva for the first time. I stumbled across this restaurant and had one of the best lunches of my life! It felt uniquely Swiss. My server was incredibly gracious and polite.while always being quite efficient! Meanwhile, the alleyway was bustling with energy and the vibe was historic and genuine! I would absolutely return for a wonderful meal next time I am in Switzerland!! ”

- Marc Bienstock -

“ Geneva is not a place for the faint hearted when it comes to menu prices - however the meal here was a treat and an experience. The meat fondue (not oil, but with hot broth to cook the steak in) was great, with ample salad, chips and bread to accompany. At the end you can also have the cooking broth as a soup, gorgeous! ”

- Tom Russell -

“ We had an amazing dinner in this old restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. We tried the cordon bleu and the fondue with porcini mushrooms, along with two glasses of wine. We enjoyed the food, the wine and the atmosphere, although it was slightly more expensive than our budget, but in general all prices in Geneva are slightly higher. ”

- Tsiu Biu -

“ Not only was the food wonderful, but I also want to express my immense gratitude for the thoughtful service. I encountered a little confusing situation with another customer, but the staff were so kind and wise to help me. They gave me good advice and even kindly went out of their way to help me out. I cannot thank them enough. Je vous remercie infiniment. Je vous souhaite une bonne santé et que la chance vous accompagne toujours. ”

“ Great place to be! We discovered this place while having a promenade with my wife and my kid. Food is good and the staff is friendly. We stayed in Geneve for 3 days and went twice to this restaurante. Thank you :) ”

- Alfons Moreno -

“ This was the first time we’ve gotten fondue in Switzerland and it was amazing! Our waitress was very nice and helped us pick which fondue we should try. Decently priced for the amount of food and the area. ”

- Sarah Minich -

“ Cute little restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. Server suggested a meat plate with cheese fondue. Cheese fondue came with bread that she refilled for us and potatoes. All were delicious as was the wine and beer. We speak very little French and the server spoke great English. A great place to eat. ”
